When Crossmuller undertook the installation of a large wood chip drum at a new processing plant in Mount Gambier, SA, precision and control were critical. The installation formed a key stage of the build, requiring heavy components to be positioned safely and accurately with minimal margin for error.
LGH Australia supported the project on site, supplying 50-tonne hydraulic cylinders to assist with the controlled positioning of the drum during installation.
The scope of works demanded exceptional stability and fine control throughout the lift. With the weight of the component and the complexity of the installation, even minor movement could compromise safety or alignment. The operation required lifting equipment capable of delivering both high capacity and precise, controlled movement.
