LGH Strengthens European Presence With New Facility in France

LGH has taken another significant step in its European growth strategy with the opening of a dedicated facility in Dreux, located on the outskirts of Paris. As the largest organisation focused solely on lifting and moving equipment rental, the move marks an important advancement in improving local access to certified lifting solutions across France.

Purpose-built to support a wide mix of industrial and construction projects, the Dreux facility houses a comprehensive rental fleet. Equipment available includes hoists with capacities up to 100 tonnes, gantries, hydraulic jacking systems, slings, modular spreader beams and a full range of material handling and moving equipment, all maintained to the high standards expected across the LGH network.

Day-to-day operations at the new location are overseen by experienced LGH foreman Koffi Ahawo, ensuring the consistent technical knowledge and service quality that define the business. He is supported by Lorenzo du Burck, Account Manager for the region, who brings a well-established background in the French rental market. Their team works alongside LGH’s multilingual rental desk and internal account support to deliver a seamless customer experience.

The expansion provides contractors and industrial clients across France — particularly those operating in infrastructure, ports, energy and construction, with faster access to reliable lifting equipment. LGH also remains an active member of the Union Française du Levage, supporting industry standards across the French lifting sector.

LGH Europe CEO Andy Mault said:

“LGH’s expansion into France is a natural progression in our international growth journey, following successful operations in North America and, most recently, Australia. France offers strong opportunities in infrastructure, ports, and energy – especially in the transition to solar and wind power – where quality service and dependable equipment are essential. With a well-developed lifting market and a strong regulatory framework for health and safety, we are confident our approach aligns perfectly.”

He continued:

“Having already supported French projects from our Antwerp base, this local presence allows us to deliver expert lifting solutions with faster delivery, broader equipment availability, and dedicated local service.”

LGH will continue to work closely with leading French manufacturers and distributors — including established partners Tractel, Kito Crosby, JD Neuhaus and Modulift — to maintain a diverse, high-quality fleet.

The Dreux facility is set to play a key role in supporting future European expansion, strengthening LGH’s presence and improving service capability across the region.
